Since 2005, Dominique Golightly has been a freelance graphic designer and illustrator for 6 years. Her clientele includes a diverse array of businesses and organizations, both large and small. She is thrilled by the interesting design projects she has completed since going into business for herself. From logos to posters to brochures to websites, she enjoys the creative challenge, working directly with her clients, and pushing herself to produce the best work possible.

Dominique decided at the age of eleven that she wanted to be a graphic designer long before computers were as common. Drawing and painting have always been a passionate focus. However, Dominique found that she loved the fusion of practical projects with the creative process.

So who exactly is KupiArt? She is a Graphic Designer for the independent music industry in North Jersey & NYC. She helps to elevate and market distinctive artists. Through teachings and experiences, she has acquired a keen sense of the business. Music is her deepest passion and greatest love. Kupi is happy to be a part of it and helps advance quality musicians. She’s also striven for more. So when she’s not cursing out everyone’s favorite MC, she’s hard at work taking care of those who show real heart for what they do.

Kupi is originally from Paterson, NJ, but lived in Savannah, GA for 9 years. There she went to college earning a BFA in Graphic Design at The Savannah College of Art & Design. She began designing flyers for random hip hop shows during her 1999 internship in NYC. After college, this prompted her to move back to New Jersey in 2002 and it’s been a non-stop roller coaster ride ever since.Kupi was the Graphic Design Production Manager for Studio Distribution, which was the umbrella for many independent dance music and hip hop labels. Sadly the company closed in March of 2006 due to the increase of illegal music downloads. After that, she was the Graphic Designer for Marketing at the event planning magazine empire BizBash Media in New York. There she helped design special marketing materials for BizBash Magazine and to promote their expos and trade shows for event and party planners in the New York, Los Angeles, Toronto, Washington D.C., and Chicago areas. However once the recession hit, the company cut departments down, which also means Kupi was on her own again. So she went back to freelancing.

In 2010 Kupi has developed quite a name for herself. Always outspoken, but humble with her work. Clients are rarely ever dissatisfied with her creations and usually come back because they know they can count on her. However with the music industry falling apart, she is branching out into new territories. She recently launched her novelty button collection called KupiFLAIR. It displays everything from funky little phrases to cool designs made by Kupi herself. It’s just a start but the plans are to expand some of the designs into t-shirt collections. ??”I think artwork has been an afterthought. Yes, the musician does great things, but it’s our job to make them seen. In most cases, before they hear you, they see you.” – kupi

What Do You Call A Humble Artist, Painter, Illustrator with a Sense of Humor?

Well, I Call Him Victor Garcia.  Victor Has Been into the Arts Since Childhood or As Early As He Could Remember.  Like A Lot Of Folks Who Are Creatives Today, He Was Off On His Own World Drawing. From His Room At Home to the Classroom With His Sketchpads, Notebooks, Pens, Pencils and all that stuff…………

Victor attended Fiorello H LaGuardia H.S. of the Performing Arts (NYC) While Majoring in Fine Arts.  From There, He Attended City College for A year and A Half.  Shortly After, Mr. Garcia Applied to Savannah College of Art & Design, With The T-alent He Beholds, There Was No Surprise When He Was Accepted into Their Graphic Design Program. After Receiving His Bachelors of Fine Arts, He Returned to NYC.

While Living in NYC, He Worked at a Advertising Subsidiary Doing Internet Advertising. After A Short While, That Went belly-up So Victor Decided To Relocate to Houston, Texas Where He Currently Resides and Landed An Artist Position at Screen Printing Shop.  His Years At the Screen Printing Shop Has Enhanced His Expertise as an Illustrator.

Mr. Garcia is Currently Hoarding Pieces in Hopes of One Day Having a Gallery Showing.  With A Humble Spirit, Victor States, “All and all, I’m just in my lane growing with this God given talent now…………………”
